How to solve

  1. Treat the board as 6×6: one cat per row, column, and color region.
  2. A useful anchor is row 1, column 6 — place it when forced, then ban its row, column, and diagonals.
  3. Repeat elimination until every remaining line has only one legal square.
  4. Finish by verifying row 6, column 3; every row and column should hold exactly one cat with no diagonal contact.
  5. Answer: R1C6, R2C1, R3C4, R4C2, R5C5, R6C3.

Tips for this level

  • Scan single-cell color regions first — they are forced placements.
  • After each cat, mark its row, column, and all 8 neighbors with X.
  • Prefer forced cells over guessing to protect fish tokens / lives.

Rules reminder

Always keep: one cat per color, one per row and column, and no touching (including diagonals). See How to Play and Strategy for more. How to Play · Strategy
